Can college students learn as well on iPads, e-books?
|
When it comes to teaching, adjunct faculty teach more courses and more students, on average, than do full-time faculty. This section contains resources and tools geared to help you connect with on-line resources, reference and research tools, course management materials and, finally, colleagues.
Think of the Reference Room as your personal research and reference library. Whether you need to do a quick look-up of a word definition, want to find a professional journal in your discipline, or conduct a thorough investigation of sources used in a student paper, the AdjunctNation.com Reference Room has it all. Adjunct Links will take you to Web pages specifically for adjunct faculty (i.e. adjunct faculty associations, unions, book publishers, etc...). The Syllabus Vault is open for your deposits and withdrawals. Teaching a course for the first time? Pop by the Vault and grab syllabi posted by faculty who've taught the course before. Seasoned teachers can use syllabi from the Vault to look at what colleagues have required in a particular course. There are Message Boards devoted to teaching-related topics where you and your colleagues can swap stories, exchange information and discuss life as a college faculty member. The Adjunct Advisor is a very special Message Board resource where you can get a bit of help and advice from the experts.
